Back to Blogging!?!

Well, my blogging life has come to an abrupt halt! My life has been so crazy with working full-time, taking on another Master's Degree program for Administration, and being a full-time mommy and wife! I am sad to say that photography has taken a back burner with my crazy schedule, although I still find time to do some projects every now and then. It is Christmas Card season and I have had the opportunity to do some pics for a few families and have a few others booked in the next few weeks. It is such a wonderful break from my real life and I wish I could do it all of the time! One day I will!
I will post some pics later of some of my recent work, and of course catch you all up with pictures of my beautiful family! I have an iPad now (be jealous) and I hope that since it is always with me I will be blogging more and more! This is my first post from the iPad so I am very curious what the formatting will look like once I post. I have found that many things do not transfer the way I would like them to from Mac to PC world. I hope this looks ok! I am a Mac snob and my husband, the historian, does not understand my obsession. In time, like the rest of the PC world, you will see the light and make the transformation, and appreciate the power of the Mac! Until I decide to post pictures and other amazing things from my life, peaceful wishes from me to you!

Daegan's First Hair Cut

My baby boy was in need of a hair cut so we took him to Hair Doodles on Forest Drive.  Jenny did a great job with him and I highly suggest you take your child there for their first trim!  Enjoy the before and after photos below.  My baby is growing up so fast!

Drew's 1st Birthday!

With the end of school and coming down with mono I have been pretty slack with my blog lately, but wanted to catch all of you guys up on what has been happening in our lives.  One of my best friends and I were pregnant at the same time and her son was born 5 days before Daegan.  These are some pics I took at Drew's 1st Birthday Party!  We all had a great time!  All of the kiddos had fun sharing Drew's new toys and the adults had fun eating pizza and enjoying some adult beverages!

What I'm Working on Wednesday

     It is my goal to post each Wednesday what I am working on.  It can be about whatever I may be doing that day or week.  This week I happen to be editing some maternity pictures I took over the weekend.  This adorable baby bump belongs to a friend from grad school, Michelle.  She is expecting a sweet baby boy VERY soon!  She and her husband were super fun to photograph!  They were very playful, and both just glowing at the thought of their son being born!  I have many great photos from the day, but just had to share this one!  Enjoy!

And So It Begins...

     I have always wanted to blog but have never taken the time to actually do so.  Facebook has been good enough for the past few years, but the idea of having my own little place on the internet has finally taken over.  Photography has always been an interest of mine, something I have played with through the years.  After having Daegan, and taking what seems like a million pictures, I have discovered that there is some talent to these photos.  Taking pictures relaxes me, and week after week spent with 17 second graders, calls for an outlet to destress!  That is how Red Wine and Honey Photography came to be.  It is still more of a hobby than a business, since my real focus right now is that class full of 17 sweet children, but my dreams are that one day it will be "something more."

     This weekend I took some 1 year old birthday photos of my son Daegan.  It is hard to believe he will be 1 in just a few weeks!  I am so blessed to be his mother!
